Sleepless in Seattle

Back from Seattle and feeling refreshed!

I must say that it was fantastic to spend time with Hubman and ASM. She is even more beautiful in person and he is even...taller. We had a great time trekking around the town. While Emmy and I were supposed to be the tour guides (since we had been to Seattle more often) by the time we arrived, ASM had the whole city mapped out and knew all the hot spots!

Because I always complain about the weather and had warned ASM and Hubman to pack their rain gear, the weather was gorgeouls. Highs near 80 and cobalt blue skies. I would be pissed, but it was ust too beautiful for words.

We even made it to Mecca/Utilikits where I picked up a new survivor kilt to replace one of mine. I think it is actually time to retire the herd. All of my kilts are too big for me now. This new one is actually two sizes smaller than my other kilts!!! It felt great to go in and try on something skinny. Just wish we could have gotten Hubman in to one. I don't think the ladies would have been able to keep their hands off him!

We also visited the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum/ Travelling Muppet Exhibit. I need to go back. I am a sign reader and display case looker. By the time I was done with half of the first room of the sci-fi museum, the rest of the gang had headed to the next section. All-told I ended up seeing less than half of each museum :( . Oh well, looks like i have an excuse to go back again soon! Anyone want to join me?

(This sign did nothing to clear up the confusion about which bathroom a bald man in a kilt should use.)

All in all it was a great time. It was strange to have blogging worlds and real worlds collide. I know that Hubman has a great post about that over on his site. But, as strange as it all was, I would love to do it all over again. It was great to play hooky for four days, see people face to face who have become good friends over the internet, and to try new and exciting things. Sign me up for next year!

We returned home on Sunday to find Mexi furiously cleaning the house. This entire trip would not have been possible without his love, support, and amazing child-care skills. He is a great guy and he taught my girls how to pick up sailors. I'm sure I can find some way to repay him! Thanks, Mexi.

I leave you with the view of Emmy from the Space Needle. Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words, my friend. It was our pleasure as well...

Shall we leave our readers wondering if I ever got into a kilt?

Oh, Hubman!! Now, you're just being mean... :):):)
Having a large portion of my genetic material originating from Scotland, I have quite a penchant for men in kilts.. Wouldn't a photo of the two of you in them be just lovely!?!? (((sssiiiggghhh)))

Sounds like a ton of fun. Hubby and I will be there at the end of June! I am running in the Seattle Rock N Roll half Marathon.
